One legacy ends, another continues

Tonight a band concert was held in the AAud. we honored Mr. Eric Woods, who is very special to me, for the express reason that he taught me Trombone and Band for Five (5) years. He has endured all my good moments and those moments that weren't so good (bad). he didn't just do this for me, but for my entire trombone section, in fact, for most of the band. He has, with the collaboration of various private lesson teachers, taught me all I know about Trombone and band. also the seniors of the band are leaving, some never to pick up a band instrument again. among these are my brother, and very many close friends of mine. some of them might go on to become accomplished muscicians and some, as previously stated, will never pick up a band instrument again. hopefully the latter will be the minority. I am excited to see the new "talent" entering the bands (i.e. "little overly", "little fisher", "mark vowels (eventually)" but most of all this post is dedicated to Mr. Woods my favorite band conductor, trombone teacher, and friend.

There is no great genius without some touch of madness.

i didn't say 1st hr. wasn't good. i merely was saying that, for being 2nd hr, we sounded pretty good.

especially, fs, much to the shigrin of some of you first hour people, Mr. Woods and Dr. Cox "awarded" us with the proverbial "best second hour ever" award

Dear Jigger and Friends,
You guys have the logic skills of...burning moss. Winning the "proverbial 'best second hour ever' award" is not a good award. Please excuse this example, but that would be like winning GOLD...in the Special Olympics.
Now on to the awesomeness of Mr. Woods a.k.a. Sparky, i never really thought much of him untill we went camping with him then it became clear he is just a person like us. I do have to admit that there is some doubt still that he is not superhuman cuz he actually enjoys working with youths all day long. I am going to miss that man.

well Person 1, winning the best 2nd hour award puts us yes, ahead of many 1st hour people for instance (no offence) Tim was in Second hour, so it seems First hour, though skilled, is not so far from Second hour (at least, not some of them) as you may think, granted, 1st excells in more catagories than 2nd, the gap is not as big as you make it out to be

are you saying that winning the gold in the special olympics would not be good? that is terrible!

I am sorry i will try to refrain from using solw people in my comments in the future. It would be like winning a Darvin Award. Does that make you happy runnergrl234567890???? ;-)

well "person 1" if best 2nd hour award
is like winning gold in the special olympics, then following your idea, then, winning best 1st hour award is like winning first in the 3rd grade olympics, the gap is smaller than youmakeit out to be, but yes maybe you should refrain from using solw people, or Darvin award recipients or maybe you should just go drive your car or go to my house, I hope you realize I am just kidding

it's better, but still not true.

There are some things that i will not purposly ever do one of them is drive my car into a house (i could drive your car into a house in an instant). much less a house filled with so much love for me. and i just want to say for the record that '88 'stangs and up rule all cars for eternity past and future.
